Concrete Contractors

Landmark Construction is one of the leading concrete contractors in South Carolina. Our in-house concrete experts perform all aspects of concrete construction including excavation, shoring, concrete foundations, concrete retaining walls, ring wall tank foundations, cast-in-place concrete, vertical and shear walls, tilt-up panel construction, slab-on-grade foundations, and concrete pavement.

Excavation

We remove rock, soil, vegetation, and debris from building site for footings, sanitary sewers, site prep and grading, demolition, site work, roadway and railway preparation, catch basins, retention systems, trenching and ponds. As concrete contractors, we specialize in deep excavation for deep foundations.

Shoring

Heavy and light duty propping and earth shoring to support lateral loads, demolition, building construction, façade retention and more. Excavation and shoring are among the most hazardous construction operations, and we are proud of our safety record.

Mass Pour Concrete

Our experts understand the causes of typical mass pour problems and leverage the most current industry information to mitigate risks. If not performed correctly, large-scale concrete pours can result in cracking, thermal stress, deleterious chemical reactions, reduced strength, and instability in variable temperatures. While mass pour concrete was once used for dams and bridge piers, fast-track construction requires expert concrete contractors for the use of mass pour concrete in bridges and buildings.

Pile Caps

Pile caps are typically constructed in poor, unstable, or soft soils. These reinforced concrete foundations are supported by prestressed concrete, timber or steel H-piles driven to suitable or stable ground.

Vertical and Shear Walls

Vertical and shear walls are made up of braced panels that counter the lateral loads on a structure. Vertical and shear walls are designed to carry wind and seismic loads and are used to stabilize slopes, bridge abutments, wing walls and minimize embankments.

Ring Wall Tank Foundations

Ring walls are used for aboveground storage tanks and containment systems. Because flat-bottomed tanks are relatively simple structures, it’s easy to assume the foundation is a simple undertaking. However, today’s tanks are taller and bigger, and loads are multiplied. Our experts know how to avoid modern pitfalls of ring wall tank foundation construction. We build ring wall tank foundations that preserve the integrity of ring walls for the long term.

Elevated Slabs

Elevated slabs are self-supporting construction foundations that span between wall columns. Elevated slabs are common in South Carolina where flooding is a concern and water tables are high. We can construct elevated concrete slabs to fit any shape or size structure.

Concrete Pavement

Concrete pavement is proven to be superior to asphalt for paving roads. Concrete does not require the use of oil-based glue, is recyclable, requires less maintenance and repair, and is more durable than asphalt. Concrete pavement has a lifespan of 20 -40 years while asphalt usually requires resurfacing in 15 years. Landmark Construction, a leading concrete contractor company, builds durable, safe concrete roads with low environmental impact.
