Landmark Announces Promotion of Mark Palmer to Project Executive
Charleston, SC – July 17, 2024 – Landmark is thrilled to announce the promotion of Mark Palmer to the position of Project Executive, effective immediately.
Mark is originally from Lexington, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1994 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He started his career as a Site Inspector, then went on to work for a vertical general contractor. Unsatisfied with managing subcontractors, Mark was driven to find a position that aligned with his true interest: heavy civil contracting. Mark was hired by Landmark Construction in March 2004 as a Project Manager for the company’s Concrete/Industrial division. He has worked across all divisions of the company not just as a Project Manager but also as an Estimator and Preconstruction Manager. As Landmark picked up larger scale projects, Mark was rolled back into project management as a Senior Project Manager. As a result of Landmark’s continuous growth, a need arose for another level of management to support the project managers, hence Mark’s promotion.
In his new role, Mark will split his time between Landmark's NBIF project and the Landmark headquarters. When asked what he is most looking forward to, Mark responded, “I am excited about the new position because it will allow me to mentor the younger PMs and pass a lot of my knowledge and experience to them. I have always enjoyed working with our young folks that have a ton of potential. The new position allows Landmark to capitalize on my years of experience, and it will also allow me to be engaged in more of the overall operations side of our company.”
