Landmark constructed the deep foundations for Unit 4 FGD pollution control expansion project at Santee Cooper’s Winyah Electric Generating Station. The scope of work included significant dewatering, excavation, large scale shoring, rebar placement, technical concrete form work, structural steel embeds, mass concrete placement, anchor bolts and imported backfill installation.

The project was highlighted by three mass concrete pours which included one 2,200 CY and two 1,900 CY monolithic placements. The project had an extremely aggressive schedule which was successfully completed one week early despite unseasonably high rainfall and tropical weather setbacks.
