Construction of a CIP foundation for a large, 5-axis CNC machine. The foundation covered 3,500 SF at up to 14' thick and incorporated over 1400 CY of concrete and 130 tons of reinforcing steel. Miscellaneous metals, cast-in-place trenches and depressions and two 12' deep containment pits were also part of the foundation. All work took place under roof while construction of the Curtis Wright building continued around the foundation installation.
