Volvo Car Manufacturing Plant

Site Work | Concrete | Utilities

The Volvo Car Manufacturing Plant project included six major contracts for sitework, utilities, and road construction. Landmark handled the mass grading contract, which included moving large amounts of earth and treating it with over 100 million pounds of cement to achieve proper compaction. The 750-acre site was graded for building pads, roads, parking, and site water detention. The site included 200 acres of wetland mitigation. Landmark Construction constructed 7.5 miles of new roads to access the remote site, along with 14 miles of water and sewer lines. Overall, the project involved 4,000,000 cubic yards of earthwork and the construction of 135 acres of retention ponds.
